Oh Soon-Hwa is Associate Professor at the School of Art, Design, and Media, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU). She is a researcher, photographer, and curator. She holds an EdD and an MA from Columbia University, as well as an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her research encompasses a variety of disciplines, such as the sociology of art, college art teaching, photo history, and photographic practices. Soon-Hwa’s photographic works have been internationally featured, from the United States and Europe to Asia and Australia, and address the socio-economic consequences that have resulted from the rapid transformations in society that have been caused by climate change and globalisation. Her book publications include From Art School to Art World (VDM, 2009) and Quiet Dream (Onestar Press, 2018).
